Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver time-sensitive shipments across designated routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Ensure cargo security through proper loading/unloading techniques and documentation
- Navigate efficiently using GPS while adhering to traffic regulations and delivery schedules
- Provide exceptional customer service through clear communication and on-time deliveries
- Collaborate with dispatch to optimize routes and resolve delivery challenges
- Uphold company safety standards and DOT compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of San Antonio metro area and Texas highways
- DOT medical certification and ability to pass background check
- Proficient in using electronic logging devices and delivery software
- Excellent problem-solving skills and time management abilities
