Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (trucks/vans) to deliver goods on time and in perfect condition
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation to minimize transit time and fuel consumption
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs per DOT regulations
- Load/unload merchandise with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and issue resolution
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols while operating in diverse weather conditions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience with verifiable references
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods
- Strong knowledge of Michigan/Ohio roadways and traffic patterns
- Pass federal background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor roadside repairs
