Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight safely and efficiently across the region.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and secure cargo using proper tie-down techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all DOT regulations.
- Deliver freight to customer locations in a timely manner and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve delivery issues on-site when necessary.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid United States Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT card).
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
- Ability to lift and move cargo, including boxes and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
