Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently while ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DOT) and electronic logging devices (ELD) in compliance with federal regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and identify potential mechanical issues.
- Provide excellent customer service to shippers and receivers at each delivery stop.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes and traffic conditions.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (with appropriate endorsements).
- Automobile Operator's License (MVR) with a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and a drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of local and state traffic laws and safety regulations.
