Your Role:
As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of goods to our clients in a timely manner. You will represent the face of our company and ensure that every delivery meets our high standards of excellence.
Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicle: Drive commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in a safe, courteous, and professional manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and Secure Cargo: Properly load trailers or trucks, ensuring all cargo is secured safely to prevent damage during transit.
- Perform Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each shift to identify any mechanical issues or safety hazards.
- Manage Delivery Documentation: Accurately complete delivery logs, bills of lading, and mileage reports using company software.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and customers, resolving any delivery issues efficiently.
- Maintain Vehicle Cleanliness: Keep the truck and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Must possess a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Medical Certification: Current DOT medical card and physical ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in commercial driving or logistics is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to read maps and use GPS navigation systems.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
