Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight on designated routes while adhering to DOT regulations
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques and securement protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, obtain customer signatures, and resolve delivery discrepancies
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize delivery routes for efficiency while meeting strict time windows
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Collaborate with dispatch team to update delivery status and address route challenges
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience with delivery focus
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment safely
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with Cleveland metro area
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Basic computer skills for delivery documentation
