Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver goods on time and in perfect condition
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology while adhering to DOT regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading and delivery interactions
- Manage paperwork including delivery confirmations and incident reports
- Collaborate with dispatch to optimize delivery schedules and resolve route challenges
- Uphold company safety standards and participate in ongoing training programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficient in using electronic logging devices and route navigation apps
- Strong communication skills for customer interactions and team coordination
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of California traffic laws and hazardous materials handling (if applicable)
