Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery trucks (Class A or B) in a professional and courteous manner.
- Load and unload cargo using pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Follow strict delivery schedules and routing plans to ensure on-time arrivals.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service at every delivery stop.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and local geography.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid US driver's license.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor vehicle repairs.
