Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight to designated locations within the region.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring freight is protected during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and comply with all Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current DOT Medical Card and DOT Drug Screen certification.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical duties associated with cargo handling.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
