Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A or Class B trucks to transport goods across the United States, with a focus on routes between Phoenix, AZ and Georgia.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and identify potential mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD/DOT) and adhere to all federal and state traffic laws and Hours of Service regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo integrity during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, and special handling instructions.
- Uphold company standards for cleanliness, safety, and professional conduct at all times.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned by management to support fleet operations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B (depending on equipment).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Clean driving record with no major violations or DUI convictions in the last 5 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends or overnight shifts.
