Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and DOT requirements.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and Hours of Service (HOS) logs.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of freight.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route adjustments.
- Maintain a clean driving record and a professional appearance at all times.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and customer service standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate interstate commerce.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English to the degree required for safe operation of the vehicle.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and communication.
