Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution is accurate.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and dock personnel.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Uphold a professional image while representing the Apex Logistics brand.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of cargo handling, weight limits, and hazardous material regulations (if applicable).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
