Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on assigned routes throughout San Francisco and surrounding areas.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying delivery accuracy and maintaining cargo integrity.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and logbooks, strictly adhering to hours-of-service rules.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding traffic conditions, delays, or route changes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure a zero-accident workplace.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (Required).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (Class A preferred).
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of California roadways, traffic patterns, and navigation tools.
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
