Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks over various routes within Los Angeles and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and paperwork.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) (Class B may be considered for local shuttle roles).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3-5 years).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- U.S. Citizenship or valid legal work authorization.
- Basic math skills for cargo calculations.
- Strong commitment to safety and time management.
