Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks over designated routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently while adhering to safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to ensure the safety of all road users.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate driving.
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and communication.
- Willingness to undergo company-sponsored training if CDL is pending.
