Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks over various road conditions and distances.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight distribution and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all necessary paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Ensure the preservation of cargo integrity during transit.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required (or eligible for training).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clear driving record with no recent major violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to navigate maps and GPS systems.
- Willingness to learn and a commitment to safety.
