Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently on assigned routes throughout the Charlotte and Georgia area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Secure cargo properly and handle freight with care to prevent damage.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and company policies.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Ensure the truck cabin and cargo area are kept clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no disqualifying violations.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service excellence.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including nights and weekends as needed.
