Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers safely and efficiently on highways and local routes.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and secure cargo according to weight and balance regulations.
- Deliver freight to designated locations on schedule.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) before starting employment.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must have a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and communication.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
