Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring cargo security and safety during transit.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, accurately documenting any issues or defects.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and necessary paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding route changes, delays, or delivery issues.
- Practice strict adherence to safety protocols to ensure the well-being of yourself, your cargo, and the public.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations within the last 3 years.
- Current DOT medical card (Medical Examiner's Certificate).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a night shift environment.
