Responsibilities
- Operate commercial diesel trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently on highways and local routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and secure cargo according to weight and balance regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug screen.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift and move freight weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
