Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks and trailers on a variety of road conditions.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo security and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and logbooks.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Uphold a professional image while representing the company on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Current DOT medical card and DOT drug screen on file.
- Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record review.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and cargo securement.
- Basic mechanical skills to perform minor vehicle maintenance.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
