Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in a professional and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Freight Handling: Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records, delivery receipts, and other required paperwork.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to ensure a hazard-free work environment for yourself and your team.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to customers by adhering to delivery schedules and handling freight with care.
Qualifications
- CDL Requirement: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the past three (3) years.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience in a professional setting.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and meet all medical qualifications.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
