Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and cargo are in proper condition.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo security and proper documentation.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Uphold a high standard of safety and cleanliness within the truck and at customer sites.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required (CDL Permit holders may be considered for training programs).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical tasks associated with cargo handling.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate commercial vehicles across state lines.
