Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and secure cargo using appropriate straps, chains, and bars, adhering to weight distribution guidelines.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and hours of service (HOS) logs in compliance with federal laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, and issues.
- Uphold a clean driving record and a professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License required (Clean driving record preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Must possess a valid DOT Medical Card and DOT Physical.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations, cargo securement, and load planning.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
