Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document findings.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo safety during transit.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and route planning to ensure on-time arrivals.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or issues.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) and passing DOT physical examination.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and navigation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
