Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner across the Indianapolis metro area and surrounding regions.
- Load and unload cargo safely using forklifts or manual handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures to minimize risk.
- Keep the truck and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and DOT regulations.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service excellence.
