Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks on various routes within the Northeast region.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring cargo protection throughout transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery times.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of highway navigation and time management.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
