Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe, timely, and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT and FMCSA standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo protection.
- Complete all necessary delivery paperwork accurately and on time, including Bill of Lading and delivery logs.
- Maintain a clean driving record and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable professional driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) and DOT Drug Screening compliance.
- Ability to pass a background check and possess a good attendance history.
- Strong understanding of DOT/FMCSA regulations and safety protocols.
