Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently in accordance with all DOT and company regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and cargo safety.
- Load and unload freight securely using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo integrity.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Keep the truck interior and exterior clean and organized at all times.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols to minimize accidents and downtime.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 5 years (clean driving record).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement procedures.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging and reporting.
- Ability to lift and handle freight packages of varying weights.
