Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper tie-down techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs (Electronic Logging Device) and ensure compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Uphold a professional appearance and conduct at all times while representing RoadRunner Logistics.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience (Preferred but not required for immediate hires with clean backgrounds).
- 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Strong commitment to safety and time management.
