Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all freight is secure and within weight limits.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD) and paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety procedures to prevent accidents and violations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience (Class A preferred).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
