Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver cargo on time and in pristine condition.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (tires, lights, fluids) to prevent breakdowns.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical demands of the job.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends as required.
