Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailer units (Class A CDL) safely and efficiently across assigned routes.
- Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and secure cargo properly to prevent damage and ensure safety.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and required documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any issues.
- Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card and DOT physical.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
- Willingness to cross the border into Mexico (preferred for El Paso location).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and meet physical requirements for the job.
