Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently across the Austin metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all freight is securely fastened according to safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure full DOT compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, strictly adhering to Electronic Logging Device (ELD) regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) or DOT Medical Card.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and comprehensive background check.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
