Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently on highways and local roads.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and secure cargo according to weight and balance regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (DOT/E-logs) and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Conduct regular equipment maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A) required.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of DOT hours of service (HOS) regulations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required.
- Basic computer skills for electronic logging and paperwork.
