Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently to deliver cargo to designated locations.
- Inspect the truck and cargo before and after each trip to ensure compliance and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and delivery times.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo protection during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (Omnibus or Local experience accepted).
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and road conditions.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
