Job Overview:
We are seeking professional drivers who take pride in their work. As a Driver with Patriot Freight, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) in a safe and efficient manner according to federal and state regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying cargo condition and handling documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of driving time, miles traveled, and delivery logs (ELD/HOS).
- Adhere to all company policies, traffic laws, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and delivery issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience within the last 5 years.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and a criminal background check.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
