Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently over assigned routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and cargo safety.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving time and mileage in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring no damage occurs during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules and potential overnight travel.
