Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on assigned regional routes within Jacksonville and surrounding areas.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any defects or issues.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution and cargo securement.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required daily paperwork.
- Deliver exceptional customer service at every stop, adhering to strict delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding traffic conditions, delays, and route changes.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local motor carrier safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language proficiently.
- Must possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
