Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local/regional routes within Buffalo and surrounding areas
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Manage delivery schedules with GPS navigation and route optimization
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Complete required paperwork including delivery confirmations and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (3+ years preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Buffalo area roadways and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service
- Basic computer literacy for digital logs and communication
