Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on assigned routes across New York State
- Load/unload freight with precision and adhere to strict safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for DOT compliance
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness
- Optimize delivery routes for efficiency and on-time performance
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Represent the company professionally at all customer interaction points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no DUIs in last 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and highway systems
- Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings and weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening (required)
