Responsibilities
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight safely and efficiently using proper lifting techniques.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies during transit.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area.
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve delivery issues professionally.
- Complete daily logs (DVIR) and maintain accurate mileage records.
- Handle cargo handling procedures, including securing loads according to weight and balance requirements.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Ability to operate a 53-foot dry van or reefer trailer.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends if necessary.
