Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van and refrigerated) on regional routes
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle documentation
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling protocols
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety policies
- Deliver freight on time while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Complete electronic logging system (ELD) documentation accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL or willingness to obtain one through our paid training program
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for weight distribution and manifest verification
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including early mornings and weekends
