Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and perform routine vehicle maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for compliance
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize route efficiency and delivery timelines
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery status
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or willingness to obtain through our training program
- Must pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Basic math skills for load documentation and route planning
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
- Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving practices
- Must have clean driving record (no DUI/DWI convictions in past 5 years)
- Physical ability to climb, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Reliable transportation to and from our Bakersfield terminal
