Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver freight to designated locations in and around New York City.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery logs within strict deadlines.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures to minimize risk on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate across state lines.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic math skills and ability to read maps or use GPS navigation systems.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and potential weekend shifts.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and punctuality.
