Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on assigned routes in and around Laredo, TX.
- Load and unload cargo using proper material handling equipment (forklift/dollies).
- Verify and document the condition of cargo upon pickup and delivery.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Interact professionally with customers and dispatch teams to resolve delivery issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (no DUIs within the last 7 years).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a professional Class A driver preferred.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and map reading.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting.
