Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles in a safe, professional, and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, ensuring cargo is secure and protected.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service during stops, resolving any issues professionally and efficiently.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement procedures and DOT regulations.
- Must possess a valid Medical Card and Hazmat endorsement (preferred).
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
