Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks on designated regional and local routes.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring weight distribution and cargo security.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and logistics teams regarding schedules and delays.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
- Clean driving record with no more than one preventable accident in the past 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSA).
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays if required.
