Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight safely and efficiently to designated destinations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours (ELD/DOT) and maintain a clean driving record.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring cargo integrity and safety.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding safety and customer service.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, cargo securement, and safety protocols.
- Must be able to operate manual transmission trucks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical tasks during loading/unloading.
