Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo security and proper handling during transport.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD/DVR) and complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes or delays.
- Provide exceptional customer service to brokers and consignees during pick-up and delivery.
- Uphold a high standard of safety and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- A clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no drug or alcohol related convictions within the last 5 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic math skills for calculating mileage and fuel costs.
